Sustainability

A word from our founder

Our commitment to ethical stewardship is ingrained in the very roots of Brockmans as a business and Brand. Growing up on the family farm in the Cambridgeshire countryside, our Founder learned the crucial lessons of community, shared responsibility, and the significance of sustainable practices — they became Brockmans’ ‘Proper’ way of doing things

B Corp Certification

In December 2023 Brockmans received our B Corp Certification.

As a B Corp, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

We are proud to be a member of this growing community of mission-driven businesses protecting and improving their positive impact over time.

“This is just the beginning of our B Corp™ adventure. We’re committed to keeping up the good work, raising the bar even higher, and making sure every sip of Brockmans comes with a sprinkle of sustainability and a dash of positive impact!” – Neil Everitt, Founder.

Carbon Neutral Certification

In 2020, our significant efforts to reduce our carbon footprint culminated in our certification as a carbon-neutral organisation which began by assessing our office and travel.

In 2023 we broadened our scope by using the Standard Industrial Classification to ensure we accounted for all aspects of our supply chain, focusing on a very detailed assessment of our production, dry goods, bottling and transportation.

In 2024 we are striving to do more, taking a major step forward in our commitment to sustainability with the launch of our newly-designed, lightweight bottle – the lightest among the bestselling brands in the super premium gin segment.

Glass manufacturing is among the most energy-intensive global industries and it’s anticipated that reducing the weight of glass bottles in the spirits industry will save significant CO2 emissions in both manufacture and transport.
